Robus Fire Rated Fixed Downlight - Brushed Chrome

The Robus Fire-Rated Fixed Downlight can be installed in fire-rated ceilings of 30, 60, or 90 minutes, helping compliance with Part B Fire Safety Regulations. This recessed fitting contains an intumescent material, which expands when subjected to extreme heat and seals the ceiling cut-out. Crucially, this allows evacuation time for upstairs occupants by delaying a possible floor collapse.

Durably constructed with a pressed steel body and die cast aluminium front bezel, the Robus Fire-Rated Fixed Downlight has an attractive brushed chrome finish. The bezel uses a simple twist and lock mechanism with a retaining clip, for easy bulb changes. A floating porcelain lamp holder provides long life and accommodates various lengths of lamp.

The Robus Fire-Rated Fixed Downlight also complies with Part C (air flow), and Part E (acoustics) building regulations. An IP20 rating signifies zero resistance to water, so installation is restricted to dry indoor areas. Carrying an 'F' mark, this fitting can be mounted onto a normally flammable surface, which includes standard building materials such as plasterboard, masonry and wood. Easily flammable surfaces are unsuitable.

Bulb requirements

The Robus Fire-Rated Fixed Downlight requires a 50W maximum halogen GU10 bulb (sold separately).

This fitting includes a slightly larger fire can than average, which allows use of LED GU10s if required. The extra space accommodates heat dissipation requirements in LED lamps, thereby preserving their lifespan. Choose an LED GU10 for 80-90% energy savings and a vastly longer lifespan than filament bulbs.
