SLV Spot 79 Spotlight - White

The SLV Spot 79 Spotlight has a durable aluminium construction and an appealing contemporary design. Finished in a clean white, this good-looking luminaire is also highly functional with a 350° rotating movement and a 180° tilt action. Whether you're aiming light at a work surface, desk, display item, wall or ceiling, this fitting allows perfect fine-tuning.

Please note that this fitting is certified suitable for mounting on flammable surfaces.

To ensure co-ordination with existing décor, the SLV Spot 79 Spotlight is available from Lyco in a choice of finishes. This fitting is wall or ceiling mountable, and with a Class 1 level of insulation must be connected to electrical earth during installation. Possible areas of use for the non-water-resistant Spot 79 include offices, hallways, living rooms, or bedrooms.

Bulb requirements

The SLV Spot 79 Spotlight takes a 50W maximum GU10 halogen bulb (sold separately), which connects via a secure 'twist and lock' bi-pin GU10 base.

The recommended minimum mounting height for the Spot 79 Spotlight is 2.5 metres due to the heat created by a halogen bulb. This is not applicable if you choose to use a low energy or LED bulb.

An alternative option for this fitting is an LED GU10. Although more expensive, this will quickly repay any investment through an 80-90% saving in running costs and eradicated maintenance. An LED bulb does not emit IR heat in its beam, so offers increased suitability when lighting heat-sensitive items such as food and art.
