Elstead Sheldon Outdoor Wall Light - Verdigris

The Sheldon Wall Light in Verdigris is a pre-weathered Brass with a matt, powder finish and will weather further over time. This finish is designed to replicate the appearance of an aged fitting as would be appropriate to period properties. Each lantern is completely unique and due to the nature of the finish, colour and effect may show slight variances on each light and may differ slightly from the picture shown.

Carrying an IP44 rating, the Elstead Sheldon Wall Light is resistant to rain and protects against ingress of any solid object above 1mm in width. This high quality fitting comes with a reassuring limited lifetime warranty (not covering component parts such as rubber seals or lamp holders, which are nonetheless reparable).

Bulb requirements

The Sheldon Wall Light requires a 100W maximum GLS bulb (sold separately) with an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap.

Since incandescent bulbs have been phased out in recent years by EU legislation, Lyco recommends an energy-saving halogen bulb as an economical alternative. This uses up to 30% less energy than an original filament bulb and lasts twice as long.

Another option for the Sheldon Wall Light is a decorative filament lamp. This is made with a ductile tungsten filament, which is threaded into a traditional up-and-down 'squirrel cage' formation (dating back 100 years in design) or an alternative pattern. These bulbs are a more aesthetic choice, usually emitting less light than conventional bulbs but promoting a relaxed mood.
