Product Description
The Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten is a hard-wearing luminaire that takes a pair of 6ft T8 fluorescent tubes (not supplied). This energy-efficient fitting is constructed with a tough ABS base and impact-resistant polycarbonate diffuser, which protects against breakage either by accident or through vandalisation.
An IP65 Ingress Protection rating in the Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten signifies dust-tight sealing and complete resistance to rain and jets of water. The latter allows you to pressure-wash this fitting, which extends its usefulness to wet areas such as shower rooms and washrooms. Other possible areas of application include corridors, offices, warehouses, underground car parks, tunnels, and most types of outdoor use.
For ease of installation, the IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten includes a handy gear-tray and retaining strap. A knockout and IP cable gland are supplied for connections and through-wiring. There are also installation choices, with included hanging hooks and clips for possible chain suspension (chain not included).
A choice of fittings is available in this Eterna range, including single and double tube luminaires of various lengths.

With its high-frequency electronic ballast the Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten offers smooth performance with none of the flickering or humming sometimes associated with mains-frequency 50 Hz fluorescent fittings with magnetic ballasts. This makes it particularly suitable for continually occupied work areas. Additional benefits include instant start-up and a significantly increased lamp lifespan (typically by around 50% or more against a magnetic ballast fitting).

The Eterna IP65 T8 Weatherproof Fluorescent Batten requires 2 x 70W T8 1800mm (6ft) fluorescent tubes (available separately) with G13 bi-pin caps.
