Product Description
The Arosa Reading Light from Searchlight fulfils two roles. This stylish fitting features a conventional shaded wall light for diffused background illumination, and adds an LED reading light on a flexible, fully adjustable arm. These two lights are individually switched, which avoids the hassle of hauling yourself over to a wall switch for operation.
Smartly manufactured with polished-chrome fixings and a rectangular white fabric shade, this simply formed fitting is certain to co-ordinate well with many styles of décor. It is designed as a bedside light and makes a great choice for homes or hotels.
Bulb requirements
The Searchlight Arosa Reading Light takes a maximum 60W GLS bulb (sold separately) with an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap.
Since incandescent bulbs have been phased out by EU legislation in recent years, Lyco recommend an energy-saving halogen bulb as an economical alternative. This will typically save 20-30% in energy and has twice the lifespan of original incandescent bulbs.
Energy-saving lamps can also be used in this fitting, whether a low-energy fluorescent lamp (maximum 11W recommended by the manufacturer) or an LED GLS retrofit. These choices will save around 70-90% in energy over filament lamps, as well as offering vastly longer lifespans.
The LED reading light in this fitting is fitted with a 1W LED and does not allow any replacement bulb. Such is the longevity of LED lighting that dedicated fittings like this will last for many years, and require no bulb-changing maintenance.
