Product Description
The Amalfi Ceramic Wall Light from British lighting designers, Astro, features a pleasing 3-tiered curved design with a tactile-smooth white ceramic finish. This attractive luminaire is designed to be used in its native state, though it can also be painted to complement existing décor using good-quality emulsion paint.
With its modern look and attractive up-and-down lighting effect, the Amalfi Ceramic Wall Light is sure to decorate many types of contemporary room. Whether in a commercial environment or the home, it will look great in offices, corridors and hallways, dining rooms, lounges, or bedrooms.
Carrying an IP20 rating, the Amalfi Ceramic Wall Light offers no protection against ingress of water, so installation in dry areas is advised. This well-made luminaire can be directly mounted on normally flammable surfaces, which includes most regular building surfaces (minimum 200°C ignition point).
Class II double insulated
The Amalfi Ceramic Wall Light is a Class 2 double-insulated fitting that requires no connection to electrical earth during installation. This extends its suitability to any premises without an earthed lighting circuit (typically 1960s properties and earlier).

Bulb requirements
The Amalfi Ceramic Wall Light accommodates a maximum 60W GLS bulb with an E27 Edison Screw (ES) cap (available separately).
Because incandescent bulbs have been mostly phased out in recent years by EU legislation, Lyco recommend an energy-saving halogen GLS bulb as an economical alternative, which typically saves around 20-30% energy over the original technology and has double the lifespan.
For vastly reduced running costs and eliminated maintenance, you may also consider an LED GLS bulb, which uses only 10-15% of the power of an incandescent equivalent, and lasts up to 50 times longer.
