Fire extinguishers

We stock a variety of fire extinguishers:

• Our commercial fire extinguishers are powder-based and suitable for extinguishing organic fires (cloth, paper, wood, etc.), flammable liquid fires, flammable gas fires, and electrical fires.
• Our water fire extinguishers are restricted in their use to organic-based fires originating from paper, cloth, wood, or other natural materials.
• Our foam fire extinguishers are good for organic fires, flammable liquid fires, and fires caused by fats and oils.
• Our electrical fire extinguisher (CO2) can be used for flammable liquid fires and fat or oil fires as well as the evident electrical fires.

Fire signage

In order to comply with Health and Safety (Signs and Signals) Regulations a business should ensure that occupants can identify an escape route from any point in a building. Smoke alarms

Smoke alarms generally come in two forms: battery operated only or mains powered with battery back-up. Mains-powered alarms have the obvious advantage of requiring less maintenance, although the battery should nonetheless be periodically checked to legislate for the possible loss of mains power.
