Searchlight Striplight Picture Light - Antique Brass

The Striplight Picture Light features a beautiful antique brass finish, and with its adjustable head you can aim light to perfectly show off any artwork. Also featured is an independent on/off pull cord on the backplate, allowing easy control over the fitting without needing to use a mains switch.

Spanning 300mm, the Striplight Picture Light is ideal for a picture of about 600-800mm width. Picture lights are usually roughly half the width of the artwork, or slightly less. This good-looking luminaire is perfect for traditional environments, and complements gold-coloured picture frames particularly well.

Bulb requirements

The Striplight Picture Light takes a 30W maximum 221mm striplight (sold separately), with a SCC-S15 cap. This economical light offers superb colour rendering, with a default maximum CRI 100 score. The warm hue of the light is particularly good for emphasising yellow, orange or red coloured artworks, and is flattering for portraits.

Whenever a cooler light is required, perhaps to accentuate blue or violet artworks, low-energy-fluorescent or LED picture lights provide a broader choice of colour temperatures.
