Product Description
The SLV Spot 79 Spotlight is durably constructed from aluminium and imbued with a smart silver-grey finish. This stylish luminaire is also highly adjustable thanks to 350° of rotation and a versatile 180° tilting movement. Precise direction of light is easy with this fitting, whether you're lighting work surfaces, display items, or reflecting light off of a wall or ceiling for wider illumination.
Please note that this fitting is certified suitable for mounting on flammable surfaces.
To help co-ordinate with existing décor, the SLV Spot 79 Spotlight is available from Lyco in a choice of finishes. It is wall or ceiling mountable, and as a Class 1 fitting it must be connected to electrical earth during installation. Potential areas of use for the non-water-resistant Spot 79 include modern offices, hallways, living rooms or bedrooms.
Bulb requirements
The SLV Spot 79 Spotlight takes a 50W maximum GU10 halogen bulb (sold separately), which connects via a secure 'twist and lock' bi-pin GU10 base.
The recommended minimum mounting height for the Spot 79 Spotlight is 2.5 metres due to the heat created by a halogen bulb. This is not applicable if you choose to use a low energy or LED bulb.
An alternative option for this fitting is an LED GU10. Although more expensive, this will quickly repay any investment through an 80-90% saving in running costs and eradicated maintenance. An LED bulb does not emit IR heat in its beam, so offers increased suitability when lighting heat-sensitive items such as food and art.
