SLV Spot 79 Spotlight - Black

The SLV Spot 79 Spotlight has a smart, contemporary design, with a robust aluminium construction and black finish. This spotlight fitting is extremely versatile, with a 350° rotating movement and a 180° tilt. Whether you're aiming the light head at downward surfaces or objects, or reflecting light off of ceilings and walls, all is possible.

To ensure perfect harmonisation with existing décor, the SLV Spot 79 Spotlight is available from Lyco in a choice of finishes. This fitting is wall or ceiling mountable, and with its Class 1 level of electrical insulation must be connected to earth during installation. Possible areas of use for this non-water-resistant fitting include offices, hallways, living rooms or bedrooms.

Bulb requirements

The SLV Spot 79 Spotlight takes a 50W maximum GU10 halogen bulb (sold separately), which connects via a secure 'twist and lock' bi-pin GU10 base.

A minimum 2.5 metre distance from nearby objects is recommended when using a GU10 halogen bulb, since it projects significant IR heat in its beam. This fitting is, however, suitable for mounting on flammable surfaces.

An alternative choice for this fitting is an LED GU10. Despite a higher initial outlay, this will quickly repay any investment through an 80-90% saving in running costs and eliminated maintenance. An LED bulb does not emit IR heat in its beam, so offers increased suitability when lighting heat-sensitive items such as fabrics and art.
