Dar Onedin Picture Light - Satin Brass

The Onedin Picture Light has a stunning satin brass finish, and with its adjustable head you can aim light to perfectly show off any artwork. An independent on/off switch on the backplate allows easy control over each individual fitting without needing to use a mains switch.

With a width of 370mm, the Onedin Picture Light is ideal for a picture of about 750-1000mm width. Picture lights are usually roughly half the width of the artwork, or slightly less. This stylish fitting is available from Lyco in a choice of finishes, making it easy to harmonise with existing décor or with the picture frame and content.

The Onedin Picture Light is suitable for direct mounting onto normally flammable surfaces, which encompasses most regular building surfaces, including wood. Easily flammable materials such as textiles or polystyrene are unsuitable. Because this is a Class 1 fitting, it must be connected to electrical earth to ensure user safety.

Bulb requirements

The Onedin Picture Light takes 2 x 25W maximum pygmy bulbs (sold separately) with E14 Small Edison Screw (SES) caps.

These compact incandescent lamps offer superb colour rendering by nature, with a default CRI 100 score. They are perfect for accentuating warm colours, such as orange and red, or for lighting portraits, whilst blue or violet colours can benefit from lamps with a cooler colour temperature (e.g. 4000-6500K). The latter are available from Lyco in some low-energy fluorescent or LED picture lights.
