Main Features of the Guardcam LED Floodlight

The GuardCam LED Security Floodlight includes a trio of security devices in one unit. This powerful security light with motion sensor also houses a built-in DVR for video or stills image recording and an audible warning to unnerve intruders. The DVR records its moving or still images onto an included 4GB SD memory card, which has capacity for 750 AVI video clips (20 seconds) or 60,000 still JPEG images. A maximum 32GB memory card is possible. An auto date and time stamp is also featured.

GuardCam recordings can be easily viewed on any computer using either the supplied USB reader or the SD card slot that is common in modern PCs. The audio mode includes a pre-recorded warning message, a barking dog alarm, and recording space for your own messages.

Certified with an IP44 rating, the Guard-Cam LED Security Floodlight is robustly resistant to ingress of dust and rain. Its PIR sensor triggers light automatically when it senses movement, which it achieves by detecting changes in infrared radiation. The sensor has a maximum 12m, 160° adjustable detection range and the duration of its light can be set from 5 seconds to 7 minutes.

LEDs

The Guard-Cam LED Security Floodlight uses eight top-branded 1W Nichia LED chips to emit a powerful 1100 lumens of cool white 5600K light. Cool white light appears brighter to our eyes than warm light, even when it isn't, and is perfect for security lighting with its slightly stark appearance. Delivering the equivalent output of a 150W halogen light, this fitting is astonishingly energy efficient.

As a dedicated LED luminaire, the Guard-Cam LED Security Floodlight does not accommodate or need replacement bulbs. It has a long 40,000 hour lifespan that is likely to extend into decades and is 20 times longer than a halogen 240V lamp.
