As their name suggests, daylight bulbs provide a similar level of light to that of natural daylight. Such levels of light are helpful in a multitude of situations; especially for visually-based workers such as architects, designers and illustrators.

From a technical point of view, daylight bulbs generally provide between 6000 - 6500K and a colour rendering index of about 80%. The benefit of such bulbs in most working situations is not to be underestimated, as daylight has been proven to improve the moral and productivity of workers.

Although daylight bulbs provide light levels similar to natural daylight they do not deliver the full benefits of direct daylight. If you are looking for lighting solutions to combat illnesses such as SAD (Seasonal Adjusted Disorder) you will need full spectrum 6500K+ SAD Tubes.
