Product Description
The Rusty Slot 80 Post Light is a stunningly designed light with an appealing rusted finish. Though this may give cause for alarm, the rust is totally controlled by the special metal used in its design. With their cast FeCSi-steel construction the lights of the SLV Rusty range do not corrode as they would with typical steels - instead they produce a tight layer of oxidised iron (i.e. rust) that doesn't flake or crumble, and serves to inhibit any further corrosion.
Because the Rusty Slot 80 Post Light is subject to this natural rusting process, the type and colour of the outer oxidation layer can, according to location and the influence of weather, develop differently. This process creates a unique finish in each light fitting. Should you decide to order these lights in plural, you can expect variation with every unit.
The Rusty Slot 80 Post Light is effectively designed as a garden downlight. It projects an attractive pool of light downwards onto paths, and driveways, with the original warm output of any lamp being enhanced by the rusty diagonal surface that reflects its light.

Class II Double Insulated
The SLV Rusty Slot 80 Post is a Class 2 double-insulated fitting that requires no connection to electrical earth during installation. This makes it suitable for older properties where no earthed electrical circuit is present.
Bulb requirements
The Rusty Slot 80 Post accommodates a maximum 48 x 135mm 11W Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) with an E27 Edison Screw cap (available separately). An equivalent LED lamp may also be used (typically around 6W) for even greater energy-efficiency.
