Energy Saving G9

Fluorescent lamps are often a little bulkier than LED or incandescent equivalents: they can be a little space-hungry. They have a low appetite for power however, and thanks to pioneering companies like Megaman they’re now becoming available in ever-decreasing sizes. Enter the energy-saving G9!

The G9 capsule is often used in rather confined spaces, such as small downlights, desk lights, under-shelf or cabinet lights, and in environments such as a boat, or caravan.

This 2-pin capsule in its energy-saving form offers all the advantages that CFL provides in bigger lamps. Namely, an impressively long lifespan of up to 15,000 hours compared to 2,000 in a halogen equivalent, and an energy-saving performance that uses around 80% less power than incandescent technology. An energy-saving bulb doesn’t waste most of its effort on producing heat.

Initially available as a mains-powered lamp, the energy saving G9 is ideal for lighting up those inaccessible spaces where bigger bulbs dare not go!
