LED Ceiling Lights

Ceiling lights come in a variety of different flavours, including flush and semi-flush fittings, pendant lights, spotlights in various configurations, and the more ornate chandeliers. Pick a flush fitting for unobtrusive lighting in confined spaces, a pendant for its attractive blend of style and functionality, or a chandelier if you want to glam a room up! Spotlights, too, are available in a variety of forms, and in many cases you’ll be able to replace existing lamps with LEDs. More about that later, but spotlights in particular usually conform to standard sizes, so retro-fitting LEDs in place of halogens should pose no problem.

Never does it make more sense to install an LED light fitting than when the light will be in regular use. The facts speak for themselves: LED saves about 80 to 90% of energy over an incandescent light and uses roughly half the power of an energy-saving fluorescent. Strategic choice of technology is a wise course of action for the householder or business owner alike.

Presently the market dictates that a lot of lighting fixtures use either high quality halogen lighting or CFL. You might cynically believe that this is because it’s relatively cheap to throw in a bulb for good measure if its value is low! You needn’t be deterred. Providing you can find an LED lamp of suitable physical size and similar lumen output you are likely to quickly recoup any initial cost through massive savings in energy use.

If this seems like a hassle, many of the above listed styles of ceiling light can be found ready-to-go in LED form, and the number across all categories of light is only likely to increase in the future. Browse our catalogue to see what LED delights you can find.

LED is very much an evolving technology that continues to find new possibilities, but drastic decreases in energy usage, CO² emissions, and landfill waste are already an advantage. For everyday ceiling illumination it makes perfect sense to default to the much cheaper-running option.
