Product Description

The Kosnic LED 2D Emergency Conversion Pack is designed for use with the latest Kosnic line of DD (aka 2D) lamps. The lamps are designed for easy plug-in conversion into emergency lights and include a built-in socket and green LED power indicator for this purpose.

This pack lets you convert the lamp and its fitting into either a maintained or non-maintained emergency light. A maintained light is operated normally as part of a lighting scheme, but remains switched on in the event of a power cut. A non-maintained light is kept switched off under normal circumstances and only activates in the event of a power loss.

During a power cut, the Kosnic LED 2D Emergency Conversion Pack provides 3 hours of lighting, theoretically assisting in the safe evacuation of a building. It uses a Li-Ion battery, which allows repeated partial discharge without any adverse effect on battery life. The battery is fed permanently from a live un-switched supply to maintain its charge.

Features of the Kosnic LED 2D Emergency Conversion Pack include protection against over-charging, overload currents, short-circuiting, and deep discharge. The unit is manufactured for compliance with EN 61347-1, EN 61347-2-7 and EN 61347-2-13. It is supplied with the necessary battery and all leads and connectors. It also comes with a manufacturer's guarantee of 3 years.
