Cupboard Lights

Under this category we include lights that provide illumination in confined spaces such as cupboards, wardrobes, closets, lockers, safes, or fuse boxes. These lights are invariably battery-powered and are triggered by either a magnetic switch or a motion sensor. The magnetic switch variety requires a small magnet to be attached to the door and in close proximity to the light; then when the door is opened the light is automatically triggered.

Being powered by independent means these lights are lightweight and easy to install; usually they’re stuck directly to the wall. For sheer longevity and versatility in design, cupboard lights are also typically LED. A further advantage of LED is that it’s cool-running, so it doesn’t pose any fire risk when used in small areas. Some motion sensor cupboard lights have an automatic power-off function.
