A Quality Service
Lyco recognise that our carriers are an extension of the service we offer you. We only work with
the most professional of carriers with the latest vehicles and tracking facilities to ensure they
deliver the service you have come to expect from us.
Tracking Your Order
From the moment your order leaves us up until the time
it is delivered at your door it is being
tracked. Just about
at any time in the journey we should know where it is. In
the unlikely event of
your order not arriving on time we are
able to find out the reason why. In addition we can easily
provide proof of delivery where required, giving you the name of whoever signed for it. In the near
future we will be able to offer you the facility to track your own order.
Our carriers have a fleet of vehicles lined up at the rear of the Lyco building ready to take it
away as soon as we have completed the packing process. Once each lorry is filled it is driven away
and your order is on its way to you. It will then pass through various transfer ‘hubs’ during the
night and will arrive at the local depot nearest to you in the early hours of the following
morning.
All the deliveries for your area are then planned out for the morning delivery ‘run’. The depot
will ensure these deliveries are made as quickly as possible. They will have to take into account
known road closures, diversions and other factors which might slow down the van on its journey.
The following morning your order is placed on a local delivery vehicle. At any time any late
changes to the route caused by accidents etc can be planned. The driver is also in radio contact
with the depot so they are aware of his progress. No matter where you are situated in the British
Isles mainland our carrier expects to deliver your order before the end of the day. In reality it is
likely that it will arrive by mid-afternoon, less than 24 hours after you ordered it with us.
