The Company

Milton Keynes based Lyco Direct is a leading B2B supplier of lighting, electrical and maintenance products. Established in 1995, the company has a number of channels to market including direct marketing through its award-winning catalogues, e-commerce, field and telesales.

The Position

Due to its continuing expansion, Lyco is focussing on field sales development and now seeking to appoint additional experienced Business Development Managers. They will take responsibility for driving new business and the maintenance and growth of existing accounts.

Key tasks to include:

  • Effective account and territory management.
  • 80% of time focussed on new business development.
  • Strengthening and seizing new opportunities in existing accounts.
  • Offering both product and solution based sales.
  • Development of new markets.

The Person

Ideally of graduate calibre it is essential the individual has at least 2 years experience in a field sales role working in the B2B arena particularly with end user sales. Preferable, but not essential, is a good working knowledge of dealing with hotels, care homes, local authorities and the education sectors. However there is scope for development in other markets. The successful candidate will be dynamic, results driven; able to operate autonomously and have the ability to communicate at all levels.
