The Hitachi 18V Cordless Combi Drill is powered by a high-capacity 4.0Ah Lithium-ion battery, which slides easily into the handle for operation. This lightweight battery offers a 33% increase in runtime over previous 3.0Ah batteries. Built-in multiplex protection circuitry protects the battery from deep discharge, avoiding potential damage and maximising battery life.
Usable as either a conventional drill or hammer drill, the Hitachi 18V Cordless Combi Drill delivers exceptional power from its large, heavily wound motor, with an incredibly high maximum torque of 92Nm (or 814 in-lbs). The drill has a 13mm chuck capacity and is rated with a maximum 65mm drilling capacity for soft wood, 16mm for brick, and 13mm for metal (mild steel).
The Hitachi 18V Cordless Combi Drill uses an all-metal ratcheting single-sleeve chuck with carbide inserts for optimal bit retention. Its 22-stage clutch offers 22 torque settings, together with drill or hammer settings. A larger striking mechanism in this market-leading hammer drill enables a more efficient performance when drilling into masonry.
A fan-cooled 2-speed gearbox makes this drill suitable for most applications. The gearbox includes needle race bearings for a more trustworthy performance, and up to 200% longer lifespan. To complement this durable gearbox, Hitachi engineer especially strong fulcrums for reliable gear-switching performance.
Other useful features include a built-in switched LED light for illuminating the work area, and a battery life indicator. The drill is designed with raised body mouldings for extra protection against dust and dirt. A soft-grip handle ensures comfortable use, whilst a metal belt hook allows convenient left or right-hand portability.
Included with the 2.2 kg Hitachi 18V Cordless Combi Drill are two BSL1840 high capacity 4.0Ah Li-Ion batteries, UC18YRSL charger (charge time: 60 minutes), side handle, driver bit, battery cover and a convenient carrying case.
