Bring your artwork to life with our stylish picture lights. Picture lights will transform your paintings and pictures into a feature to be proud of.
Picture lighting is becoming increasingly popular in homes to enhance the look of artwork. Many of our clients use picture lighting as an alternative to ceiling lighting to create a more romantic atmosphere in dining areas.
Traditional & Contemporary Styles
Lyco stock a variety of designs and finishes, so you will be able to choose a perfect picture light to suit you. So, whether you want a classic style or a minimalist look, we have the perfect light for you.
Range of Finishes
Our picture lights are available in a range of finishes to suit your requirements. The polished chrome finish provides a funky, crisp edge and a highly reflective surface to give an ultra-modern look, perfect for modern offices, living areas with contemporary furniture, modern bars and nightclubs.
In contrast the antique brass finish has traditional, old-fashioned appeal and is inspired by furniture of years gone by, perfect for older homes and traditional public houses. A 'polished' finish is shiny and reflective, where a 'satin' finish has a slight texture.
Light Bulbs
Lyco stock a massive range of light bulbs all at fantastic value for money. Picture lights do not come supplied with light bulbs unless otherwise stated. Ensure you use the correct type of bulb and do not exceed the maximum bulb wattage stated in the product description. If in doubt, our Team will be happy to advise you. As a general guide for our picture lights:
- Halogen bulbs - provide a brighter, crisper light and usually have a longer life than standard filament bulbs which means that they need to be changed less often.
- Striplights - are small fluorescent tubes. They are cheaper to run than regular bulbs and can last up to an amazing twenty times longer than incandescent lamps - therefore they need to be changed less often, saving you time and money. Fluorescent tubes are available in a range of finishes including clear or opal.
- Pygmy bulbs - are cheap, effortless to fit and readily available.
