Downlights are a type of spotlight that direct light downwards to where it is required. Hardwearing, with an IP20 rating, these are suitable for nearly all commercial premises. They are available in white, polished chrome and brushed chrome finishes and have a pressed steel body and front bezel, which twists and locks for easy bulb changes.
The downlights come in main and low voltage options. The low voltage version requires a transformer (3785).
Protect against the spread of fire and noise pollution
Modern building regulations have specific requirements for premises that install downlights, to guard against the spread of fire and noise pollution between the floors of a building.
These downlights comply with L1 Building regulations and include intumescent seals, offering 90 minutes fire protection.
Providing acoustic protection as well, they comply with Parts E, and C of building regulations regarding acoustics and air flow.
