Door closers are a mechanical attachment which is fixed to the horizontal door jamb or lintel and to the door itself. The device allows a door to be opened with minimal force, and automatically closes it again as soon as the user lets go.
Automatic closers are essential for insulated firedoors, where the fire protection depends on the door being shut at all times. They are also useful to help prevent drafts and maintain privacy and a neat and tidy appearance in the workplace.
