This innovative young start up is currently a one-product company. However, it has been so successful in such a short time that all we can say is…watch this space.
Ezy Reach was launched at the National Lighting show at the NEC in Birmingham. This patented new product is designed to make it easy to remove and replace halogen lamps with GU bayonet and Edison Screw type flush fittings. A simple sliding switch allows a sucker to attach itself onto the face of the bulb creating a firm suction bond. It's so easy it can even be used one handed.
The gadget has proved a hit in the domestic market, particularly among the disabled and wheel-chair bound who use it to regain their independence, the elderly, who no longer have to go up a stepladder, and any householder with hard-to-reach light fittings.
In the building trade, it has been welcomed as for its potential savings on labour costs as it allows flat-fronted lamps to be changed in a fraction of the time. As it eliminates handling there's no danger of grubby fingerprints spoiling the aesthetics or possibly shortening the life of the lamp, so further cost savings can be gained.
