Burco Dean Appliances was formed from the merger of gas equipment manufacturer W.H. Dean, and electronics company Burnley Components after the Second World War.
Throughout the 1950's the Baby Burco Washboiler became increasingly popular and in the 1970's Burco launched its Catering Boiler range. In response to the increasing demands of the catering industry, Burco introduced different capacity boilers and diversified into the hospitality and leisure industries.
In 1985 Burco Dean Appliances was acquired by the Glen Dimplex Group. The acquisition of the 'Cygnet' brand has enabled the company to expand its range of products further still.
Today, Burco Appliances is the established market leader in manual fill electric and gas water boilers. Burco continues to manufacture urns in the UK and can now provide appliances capable of dispensing hot water from 2.5 to 36 litres. Burco also now manufactures manual and autofill filter coffee makers, toasters and mobile handwash units.
